Until only recently, I’d thought stories of girls being punished with wooden spoons and hating it as being apocryphal. Then I found an old, unused wooden spoon in the bottom of a kitchen drawer and tried it on myself.
Holy crap on a stick.
That spoon is now in my toy-bag.
